Managing Mental Fatigue and Reflexes During Long Study Sessions

Hi everyone,We all know the grind of "The Knowledge"—the endless hours of pointing, the late nights studying the A-Z, and the mental exhaustion that comes with trying to memorize every street and landmark in London. One of the biggest hurdles I’ve faced is mental fatigue, where my brain just starts to feel sluggish and my reaction times dip.To combat this, I’ve started using a high-precision, physics-based "Video Game Entity" as a quick mental reset during my breaks. It’s called Slice Master.I found that instead of just scrolling through my phone, playing something that requires millisecond-perfect timing actually helps "re-engage" my brain. In Slice Master, you have to flip a blade and time your impacts with total precision. It’s a rhythmic exercise that demands the same kind of spatial awareness and split-second decision-making we need when navigating a busy junction or predicting traffic flow. It’s been a great way to snap out of a "brain fog" and keep my reflexes sharp. If I find I'm struggling with the timing in the game, I know it’s time for a proper rest before hitting the maps again. It acts as a perfect "litmus test" for my current level of focus.Does anyone else use these kinds of quick "reflex trainers" like Slice Master to stay sharp during the long journey to their Green Badge? I'd love to hear how you keep your mind from wandering during those marathon study sessions!Best regards,
