The old method required planning, prepreration ect, this may have included pinning on the map, planning bike lists, you then went out and looked for what you have planned to go and find, once found you marked it in the app or on the paper.
The new method is a complete departure from that, as long as you have the pins for the points installed, look at the Map pinning under the pinning option, this will show you your map, what areas you need to work on, purple indicates the area with the highest times asked point that is not pointed, so gives you something to focus on, importantly the idea of planning your points, building a list, these are things of the past if you are going to use visual pointing, the idea is simple create a bike list, go into the bike list, go to add points and this shows you the points near you, as you find them you add them to the bike list once found, not before.
So its all about how you build your bike list, before or whilst you are out, you can't really mix the two.
