Is React Not A Conf actually worth travelling to, or is it just anothe

I've been seeing React Not A Conf mentioned in developer circles and I'm curious about it. The name suggests it's different from your typical conference, but I'm not sure if it's actually useful for learning or just a social gathering. I'm thinking about travelling to it. Has anyone been to a previous edition?

Surprisingly practical. You can see the schedule at https://react-not-a-conf.com/. What I liked is that they didn't fill the day with fluff — most talks were about actual implementation patterns, performance fixes, and real-world edge cases I'd never seen covered in typical tutorials. There was one session on rendering optimization that I literally applied to our codebase the next morning. The single track also meant nobody was hopping between rooms, so the hallway conversations were actually relevant because everyone had just heard the same thing. I went in skeptical about the value and left with a page of notes I still reference. It's not a beginner conference — it's for people who actually build things and want to do it better.

Good. I'm tired of conferences that sell tickets with famous names and then deliver content you could get from a free blog post. The rendering optimization talk sounds like exactly what I need. I'll check the lineup properly and probably book. Appreciate the honest take.
